When we think about why we started E1 Equestrian and Stellar Cheval, it always comes back to one thing: horses.
These incredible beings have shaped our lives in ways that words can’t fully describe. They’ve been our teachers, our healers, and our companions through it all.
For me, personally, horses have been there in every high and low—teaching me lessons, offering their love, and grounding me in the present moment when life felt anything but certain.
My earliest memories are being on the trails in Orange County, California, with my grandmother and brother. We had this wild little pony, and somehow, my grandmother—this strong, confident, and deeply feminine Mediterranean woman—managed to guide him with ease. She led with confidence and a quiet certainty, showing me what leadership truly looks like. That memory has stayed with me, reminding me how powerful it can be to lead without saying a word.
When I got my first horse, I remember the shock of being bucked off and hitting the round pen structure. I was hurt but okay enough to get back on—but I didn’t want to. My mom told me something I didn’t fully understand at the time: If you don’t get back on, you’ll start to fear the horse, and it’s not the horse’s fault.
That day, I realized something that stayed with me—fear is often just a reflection of our own doubts, not the reality of the situation. Of course, riding horses does come with risks, but it’s about learning to adapt, building trust, and trying not to let fear take over.
A few years later, horses became my lifeline during one of the hardest times in my life—my parents’ separation and divorce. My grandmother’s support meant everything to me, but it was the horses that gave me an outlet for all the emotions I didn’t know how to process yet. Just being around them, with their simple yet powerful presence, helped me in ways I didn’t fully understand until much later.
As I grew, my love for horses deepened. They are beautifully complex creatures—so intelligent and intuitive, almost otherworldly. I believe they’re sent from above, here to teach us things about ourselves that we might not be ready to face on our own.
Our “Why”
At E1 Equestrian and Stellar Cheval, our ‘why’ goes beyond selling products. Horses are at the heart of everything we do because they’re at the heart of who we are. They connect us to something greater—whether it’s through personal experiences, videos, movies, stories, or even just a simple image on a screen.
Horses communicate with us on a soul level, and we’re here to celebrate that connection.
Our mission isn’t just about creating beautiful products that help people feel closer to horses. It’s about telling the stories—the ones that define us, shape us, and inspire us. Whether it’s overcoming fear, building confidence, navigating life’s challenges, or celebrating milestones, we want to hear those stories. It’s the emotion behind them that fuels our passion.
We believe in supporting the next generation of riders, too. Young riders are the future, and we are committed to sponsoring classes and initiatives that align with their raw talent.
Beyond this, our Giving Back initiatives are dedicated to creating opportunities and making a difference in the equestrian community, from supporting impactful organizations to helping save horses’ lives in extreme distress.
